The #25WordStory Challenge is to write a story (a piece with a beginning, middle, and end) in exactly 25 words--no cheating--and then share it. The 25 Word Story is a clever alternative to the free write. It's word limit forces the writer to think more carefully about his/her word choice and syntax. It's pithiness also encourages multiple tries/revision.

Take the Challenge
Step One: Brainstorm
Step Two: Play
Step Three: Share
Once you're happy with your story, you should consider sharing it (even if it is anonymously). Below are a couple of ways to share your piece: 1.) Email it to [email protected] and we'll put it up on the SWS website, tweet it out from @swsahs, and/or share it on our SWS Facebook page. 2.) Tweet it out yourself using the hashtag #25WordStory 3.) Create a meme using an app like PicStitch or a site like Photobucket. |
