Today we are going to be creating SMART goals to help us improve as collaborators. What's a SMART goal, you say? Click on the following link for a reminder: SMART Goals After reviewing your SMART goals, it became clear that we need to work on making the goals more specific with measurable benchmarks. For while many of your goals were admirable, they were also too vague/unrealistic.
Student Examples: Vague: I will do better in school this year. Unrealistic: I will stay after school every day to get my homework done. SMART: I will improve my grade in Algebra a minimum of five points by October 25th. I. Assignment: In order to help us write better SMART goals, we will be using a SMART goal generator. This program prompts you to write and revise your goals until they are specific and measurable. At the end it will ask you to print out your goal. 1. Go to the SMART Goal Generator 2. He and I will be reviewing your course requests to make sure everything is in order. IMPORTANT: Final scheduling will be done on ASPEN. If you do not know your login information, make sure to write a note on the scheduling form so that Mr. Janicki can assist you BEFORE you sit down to schedule. |
