Step One: Brainstorm Brainstorm things about yourself that you think are interesting or unique. Possible questions to consider:
Step Two: Play Now write. Don't worry about the word count at first. Concentrate on expressing something meaningful about yourself. Once you've got a couple of sentences going, start tinkering. Play around with word choice, move/delete words, punctuate your sentences creatively. See what you can come up with. Watch the video below for more tips on writing effective Six Word Memoirs. Step Three: Flesh It Out Once you've created a Six Word Memoir you're happy with, we'd like you to create an Animoto video which uses visuals to flesh out your memoir. Click on the following link for instructions on how to sign up for an Animoto account and make your first video. Animoto Tutorial Step Four: Share It Choose one, some, or all of the following ways to share your memoir: *1.) Share your Animoto with us by emailing it to: [email protected] 2.) Share your memoir with other teens at sixwordmemoirs.com 3.) Tweet out your memoir using #6WordMemoir and/or #6WordStory *Mandatory: You must share your Animoto with us. |
